WiX v3.8 released.
It is my pleasure to announce that WiX toolset v3.8 is now officially declared Production/Stable. The final build number is v3.8.28.0.
This release was completely managed by Bob Arnson. Most of this year I’ve been focused on launching FireGiant.
I asked Bob to help out and he stepped up in a big way. If you haven’t said something nice to Bob in the last 24 hours, I encourage you to do so now. Without him I’m not sure we’d have VS2013 support.
Speaking of VS2013 support, here are the highlights for WiX v3.8:
- Visual Studio 2013 support.
- Enhanced WiX Standard Bootstrapper Application with new BA function support.
Of course, there are also a bunch of bug fixes and cleanup that makes this the best release of the WiX toolset ever.
We start WiX v3.9 in earnest next month.
