FireGiant now hosts the WiX Tutorial
The WiX Tutorial is one of the most comprehensive resources on the web to learn the WiX toolset. Ensuring this resource remains available and stays up to date aligns perfectly with our goals at FireGiant. For that reason I am excited to note that today FireGiant takes responsibility for the WiX Tutorial.
For over a decade, Gábor DeÁk Jahn did a fantastic job writing then maintaining the tutorial with the help of many contributors. However, in recent years Gábor found other projects required more of his time and thus was less active with the WiX toolset and the WiX Tutorial. The net result is some parts of the tutorial were falling out of date.
So we approached Gábor at the end of last year to see if he was open to transitioning the tutorial to FireGiant. He definitely was and we started the process to get the content migrated. Of course, the tutorial migration was waylaid a bit when we decided to refresh the FireGiant website.
But the migration is complete now (although we are still adding redirects from the old pages to the new pages throughout the day). You can read about the process on the FireGiant blog and if you find any issues on the new site please let me know so we can get them fixed.
